Providing Physicians with Critical Resources to Navigate Health System Reform

 

The Physicians Foundation provides physicians with critical resources to help them understand how the legislative changes associated with healthcare reform will directly impact their practice of medicine – and what this means to success in today’s changing environment. Past surveys conducted by The Foundation reveal a deep sense of frustration, stress and anxiety among physicians in the midst of health policy reform. Our goal is to not only assess the impact of healthcare reform on physicians, but to help doctors navigate current health policy legislation in actionable terms.

 

Impact of Healthcare Reform on Physicians

 

Recent health policy legislation is one key driver of growing dissatisfaction and sagging morale among America’s physicians. One specific example of legislative angst is the overall uncertainty surrounding the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) used to pay physicians under Medicare – an uncertainty that typifies how a majority of physicians feel about the larger landscape of healthcare reform.
