Philip Schuh, CPA, is a board member of the Physicians Foundation and the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Medical Society of the State of New York. Mr. Schuh is responsible for the overall operations of the organization and is responsible for the company’s collaboration with individual County Medical Societies and Specialty Societies throughout the State. He previously served as Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer for over 20 years.
Mr. Schuh also holds the position Chief Executive Officer to the Empire State Medical, Scientific & Educational Foundation, Inc., which is currently involved in implementing a statewide health consultation review program.
Mr. Schuh possesses extensive expertise in accounting, finance and taxation. For many years, he served as an adjunct instructor within the Department of Accounting, Taxation and Law at the College of Staten Island, City University of New York and Long Island University. In addition, he held positions at the New York County Health Services Review Organization and New York State Department of Audit & Control.
Mr. Schuh earned his accounting degree from Brooklyn College and holds a master’s of science from Long Island University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
