Bloomington Hospital Foundation will provide education and support systems to minimize the potential risks of adopting electronic health records for physicians in their community. Funding from The Physicians Foundation will support a series of local workshops and lectures, physician attendance at regional workshops and assistance for physician practices in implementing electronic health records. The goal is for broad adoption of cost-effective electronic systems that will improve patient safety, quality of care and communication amongst providers.
